Thermal Lab
Our thermal lab at Natick allows our multidisciplinary teams to collaborate on answering questions related to fires and explosions across a broad range of industries, from manufacturing to petrochemicals to consumer products. Whether it's determining the root cause of a fire or preventing one, we offer the hands-on expertise to uncover the insights you need to move forward.
Molecular Biology and Microbiology
Our lab team specializes in quickly developing customized testing while adhering to industry quality standards. We have the in-house expertise to perform protocol development, quality control checks, and comprehensive microbiological testing, including antimicrobial testing, disinfection and cleaning assessments, and contamination sampling and analysis.
Battery Disassembly Lab
Safely disassembling batteries for assessment while preventing damage to samples requires experience as well as specialized infrastructure and equipment. Natick's battery disassembly lab can help you determine the cause of failures and improving safety and reliability. Our team helps you:
- choose the best battery for your product.
- verify the battery chemistry and composition.
- identify potential issues with regard to intellectual property infringement.
Wet Chemistry Lab
The wet chemistry lab at Natick for wet inspections enables our experts to observe an analyze materials related to a wide of range of client challenges, whether you're trying to determine what materials to use for a product, assessing consumer health implications, or determining impact on the environment.
Combustible Dust Testing Laboratory
The combustible dust testing laboratory helps clients develop effective mitigation strategies by analyzing potential combustible dust hazards and providing onsite consulting to identify potential problems. We help you select the right testing for you by offering a variety of standard ASTM International tests, such as combustibility and explosibility screening tests and customized test methods for accident recreation, hazard demonstrations, and hazard assessments.
SEM/CT Room
The Natick lab offers in-house computed tomography (CT) and scanning electron microscopy (SEM) analysis of a wide variety of objects to support failure analysis investigations, quality/reliability assessments, and intellectual property, regulatory, and products liability litigation support.
