Wendy Van Selow

Ms. Wendy Van Selow is a Senior Manager in Exponent's Development practice. Ms. Van Selow has over 30 years of experience at Exponent, concentrated in database development, analysis, data collection, and management of large scale data. She is proficient in a variety of software and programming languages including SQL and SAS.

Ms. Van Selow has specialized knowledge in the analysis and mining of databases maintained by manufacturers and government agencies. Manufacturer databases have included production, warranty, registration, service call, call-center data, complaint records, and parts sales data. In addition, she has worked extensively with numerous manufacturers' internal and confidential databases developed for specific investigations. Her experience with governmental databases have included FARS, NASS, NFIRS, state crash data, and other specialized sources such as emissions and fuel economy data. Ms. Van Selow assists her clients in addressing issues relating, but not limited to, vehicle crashworthiness, post-collision fires, occupant injuries, component failure rates, and the real-world performance of consumer products. She has also assisted clients in class-action settlements, providing cost projections for various scenarios, as well as mining settlement filings for potentially anomalous claims.
