Mr. Abdollahi is a construction consultant specializing in issues related to project planning and controls, project management, claims, and disputes. He has several years of construction management experience in the public infrastructure sector, where he led multidisciplinary teams through all stages of construction, from permitting to closeout.

Prior to joining Exponent, Mr. Abdollahi worked as a Project Engineer for a construction company in Northern California. During this period, he managed the construction and improvement of two main highways in San Francisco and Santa Clara, with contract values of approximately $30 million. In addition to his field experience, Mr. Abdollahi received a Master of Science in Civil and Environmental Engineering from the University of California Berkeley, and a Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering at the Technion — Israel Institute of Technology.

Highway Improvement: Provided construction management services for the renovation of a main highway in Santa Clara. Coordinated work within different trades to ensure quality and safety standards. Services included the review of potential change orders, tracking costs and entitlement, creating monthly billings while tracking construction progress and budget.

Bridge Off-ramp: Supervised the construction of an off-ramp from a bridge in the Bay Area and the development of a new bike path. Provided cost management and scheduling services to the general contractor. Managed subcontractors, coordinated material suppliers and communicated with inspectors and engineers. Oversaw the project through different stages and milestones, including demolition, excavation, underground work, grading, structures, paving, erosion control and landscaping. The project included 2 bridges and 11 different retaining walls.

Underground Utilities: Managed a team through the location of underground utilities prior to drilling for the foundation of a residential building in San Francisco. Applied for permits, coordinated with underground service alert and locators, developed a traffic control plan, documented the exact location of the utilities through GPS, created a report with the findings of the potholing, and prepared invoices for the work performed.

Commercial Underground: Managed the excavation and the removal of contaminated soil for the construction of a data center and the improvement of a food bank in Northern California. Supervised the grading and paving of a new access road. Coordinated the design, procurement, and installation of two storage tanks and performed the utility work connections. Prepared monthly billings for completed contract work and change order work performed on force account.
