Dr. Gill provides consumer safety consulting expertise for the registration and re-registration of Crop Protection active substances and products. As well as high-level strategic advice to clients, he produces consumer safety dossiers for many successful national, EU and Codex submissions for Active Substance Approval, Product Registration or MRL-setting.
Dr. Gill provides post-submission support to clients, authoring successful technical responses/rebuttals and presenting arguments to Competent Authorities addressing regulatory concerns. Dr. Gill evaluates consumer safety data, identifying data gaps and study deficiencies, planning and managing study packages to meet current and forward-looking guidance, ensuring subsequent submissions are of the highest standard.
Dr. Gill has over 25 years' experience gained working in the Plant Protection industry, latterly as a consumer safety specialist. Previously holding positions as a Residues Team Leader and Study Director, Dr. Gill led teams of staff planning, conducting and reporting residue and supporting studies, managing the delivery of residue trials programmes for two new molecules as well as numerous existing compounds. As well as in-house team management, he was responsible for managing large study programmes placed at contract laboratories. Dr. Gill is experienced in all aspects of the consumer safety of Crop Protection chemicals, with particular expertise in dietary residues and supporting studies (crop, livestock, analytical method development and validation, storage stability).
