Lucy Brown

Lucy Brown is a regulatory professional working within the cosmetics industry. Ms Brown joined Exponent in 2021, where she has gained extensive knowledge of all aspects of cosmetic product compliance and registration for a wide variety of markets. Ms Brown is responsible for carrying out formula and artwork reviews, compiling and reviewing Product Information Files (PIFs) in compliance with EU Cosmetic Regulations 1223/2009 and the Product Safety and Metrology etc. (Amendment etc.) (EU Exit) Regulations 2019.  

Ms. Brown is also responsible for notifying cosmetic products on both the EU Cosmetic Products Notification Portal (CPNP) and the UK Submit Cosmetic Product Notifications (SCPN) Portal. Ms Brown is also responsible for advising clients on compliance for formulated household products with the EU Classification, Labelling and Packaging Regulation 1272/2008.

Prior to joining Exponent Ms Brown studied the intrinsic mechanistic behaviours of collagen-derived peptides and their effects on tendon wound healing and was awarded the degree Master of Research in Biomedical Science and Translational Medicine at the University of Liverpool, Prior to this, she completed a BSc in Biological Sciences, also at the University of Liverpool.
