Mr. Jin has diverse experience within the construction industry coupled with a robust foundation in data science. His construction expertise spans cost control, change order management, project closeout, and sustainability reviews. Mr. Jin has contributed to various high-profile tech campus and healthcare projects, affording him a distinctive perspective on the construction field. Leveraging his data science skills, he has developed multiple automations that streamline tasks, saving time and allocating additional resources to his projects. With a keen understanding of the tech industry, Mr. Jin actively seeks products from prospective start-ups and devises novel approaches to tackle existing challenges in construction.

Before joining Exponent, Mr. Jin attained his master's degree in Civil and Environmental Engineering from the Systems Engineering program at the University of California, Berkeley. His focus centered on optimization and data forecasting. His research involved assessing the viability of EV charger installations across the San Francisco Bay Area, based on the existing utility infrastructure capabilities. By aggregating census, traffic, and utility data, he devised various geospatial analysis tools to examine feasibility. Mr. Jin earned his bachelor's degree from the University of California, Berkeley, majoring in Civil and Environmental Engineering with a minor in Data Science. During his undergraduate years, he led students in participating in the annual Design-Build Institute of America conference and competing in the student competition.
