Dr. Tallentire holds a BSc in Environmental Biology and a PhD which investigated novel methods of controlling potato pathogens, both awarded by the University of Newcastle upon Tyne. Following her studies, Eva spent 8 years working within an Environmental Protection Team at a UK Local Authority, taking the lead for the Authority's duties concerning private water supplies and contaminated land.
Eva's current work focuses on assessing the environmental fate of pesticides as preparation for applications and submission dossiers for European active ingredient approvals and product registrations. This work includes standard and higher tier groundwater and surface water modelling assessments involving the use of various models, for example, the FOCUS software (PRZM, MACRO, TOXSWA, PEARL, PELMO).
