Mr. Giggy is a Manager with Exponent's Construction Consulting Practice with experience in utility construction project and program management, wildfire mitigation risk analysis, data analytics and reporting, environmental science and management, and applied geospatial science.
Daniel has five years of progressive experience leading teams and managing utility projects. He has expertise in project management, scheduling, project controls, data management and reporting, and risk management for electric utility construction. and has managed large project teams in the delivery of large multi-year capital projects in California.
Daniel managed the design and maintenance of automated reporting tools for the largest electric distribution undergrounding programs in California. He led the creation of a broad suite of construction management, estimating, cost variance, management scorecard, and program management dashboards and trackers, including multi-year efforts to update and integrate new data into existing systems of record.
In addition, Daniel has managed Electric Transmission Tower Replacement projects with work schedules ranging from 2 years to over 10 years, and budgets ranging from $5M to $75M. Daniel's portfolio includes projects with marine construction, underground construction, environmental restoration, federally protected lands and navigable waterways, and right-of-way permitting complexities.
Daniel has developed maps for electric undergrounding, land planning, and outage management programs, and has experience working with natural resources and wildfire GIS data. He has led geospatial and program management data design and delivery in response to federal regulatory requests, and has managed teams of GIS Data Analysts in the design, QC, and production of geospatial data for public, internal, and federal reporting needs.
Prior to joining Exponent, Daniel worked for Apple as a Geospatial Technician, and for Pacific Gas & Electric as a Workstream Program specialist. He previously graduated from the University of San Francisco with a MS in Environmental Science and Management. He is a PMI certified Project Management Professional.
