Ms. Saunders joined Exponent in August 2022 after graduating from Nottingham Trent University in 2022 with a degree in BSc (Hons) Pharmacology. Her studies included research on the activation of microglial cells after an intracerebral hemorrhage using immunohistochemistry.
Her role at Exponent is to offer clients advice and guidance in all aspects of cosmetic safety and regulations. She is responsible for completing cosmetic product artwork and formula reviews, managing Product Information Files (PIFs) and notifying products on the EU Cosmetic Products Notification Portal (CPNP) and UK Submit Cosmetic Product Notifications (SCPN) portal, in compliance with the EU Cosmetic Regulations 1223/2009 and the UK Cosmetic Regulations.
Ms. Saunders is also responsible for assessing classifications made under the EU Classification for Labelling and Packaging (CLP) Regulation 1272/2008 and providing relevant labelling advice for home fragrances and candles. She is also responsible for advising the correct safety labelling for candles sold in the USA following ASTM F2058 and the EU and UK following EN 1594.
