The Society of Automotive Engineers (SAE) recently recognized outstanding engineers for their exceptional accomplishments and contributions to the mobility industry at the 2015 Awards & Recognition Ceremony on April 21, 2015.
Exponent Principal Scientist Dr. Rose Ray was awarded the Arch T. Colwell Merit Award for the paper "An Objective Analysis of the Effect of Tread Depth on Crash Causation and Wet Road Vehicle Dynamics." The award recognizes authors of papers of outstanding technical or professional merit presented at an SAE meeting or any of its Sections. Papers are judged primarily for their value as new contributions to existing knowledge of mobility engineering.
Mr. Don Parker was honored at the ceremony, receiving the Forest R. McFarland Award. This award recognizes the outstanding contributions toward the work of the SAE Engineering Meetings Board (EMB) in the planning, development, and dissemination of technical information through technical meetings, conferences, and professional development programs or outstanding contributions to EMB operations in facilitating or enhancing.
