On March 1, 2021, Dr. Delmar R. "Trey" Morrison, III, Ph.D., P.E., CCPSC, CFEI, Exponent principal engineer, was elected as a Fellow of the American Institute of Chemical Engineers (AIChE). Fellow is AIChE's highest grade of membership and is achieved only through election by the AIChE Board of Directors, generally upon recommendation by the AIChE Admissions Committee, through whom all nominations for election to Fellow are processed. Fellows are important resources for AIChE in providing experience-based guidance to leadership and members, as well as contributing to the activities of many AIChE entities.
Dr. Morrison applies his expertise as a chemical engineer to provide technical consulting services for a variety of industries including consumer products, industrial equipment, agricultural and food processing, chemical manufacturing, and oil and gas. Over the last twenty years, he has analyzed a multitude of products, equipment, systems and processes to aid stakeholders including owners, manufacturers, and insurers through incident investigation, fire and explosion investigation, root-cause analysis, and evaluation and mitigation of risks.
"I am honored to be elected as a Fellow of the American Institute of Chemical Engineers," says Dr. Morrison. "AIChE is a leader in advancing process safety and environmental protection in industry. I am proud to be a member of an organization that holds safety in such high regard."
