Dr. Meyer is a licensed Mechanical Engineer with more than 20 years of professional experience in the engineering consulting arena. In her role as Client Services Vice President, Dr. Meyer works day-to-day with the firm’s clients to assess timely responses to their requests. She is a contributor to the development and implementation of corporate and office business plans, including designing and implementing the company’s corporate marketing program. Dr. Meyer develops and manages a client-based business development program focused on expanding the company’s business both vertically and horizontally within the client’s organization. She routinely meets with clients and potential clients to inquire about their needs and then provides them with the appropriate contacts and expertise. In addition, Dr. Meyer provides consultation with regard to demonstrative evidence and presentation preparation and development. She played a key role in two major American Bar Association Section of Litigation Mock Trials “US v Lee Harvey Oswald” and “Litigating the Titanic.”

Dr. Meyer is a licensed Mechanical Engineer in the State of California. Her technical expertise includes failure analysis and design assessment of mechanical systems subject to static and dynamic loads. Her consulting career expertise has included vehicle and aircraft accident reconstruction. More specifically, Dr. Meyer has addressed issues related to the damage tolerance and durability of engineering materials. This includes fracture mechanics and fatigue design analysis of mechanical components.

Prior to joining Exponent, Dr. Meyer was a President’s Fellow at the Center for Advanced Materials, Lawrence Berkeley Laboratories, University of California at Berkeley, where she performed research in the area of damage tolerance and fatigue of ceramic materials. She has worked as a visiting senior fracture mechanics engineer at the Canadian Department of National Defense (Ottawa) where she managed and conducted investigations related to failure analysis of aircraft structures. She also worked under contract to General Dynamics, Atlantic Richfield, and Sun Exploration and Production Company.
