- ANSI C18.2M, Part 1-2003 American National Standard for Portable Rechargeable Cells and Batteries
Exponent has been ISO 17025 accredited by A2LA to perform cell testing in with the CTIA requirements and is a CTIA Authorized Test Lab (CATL) for cellular
phone batteries. The purpose of the CTIA Battery Certification Program is to verify conformance of cellular products to IEEE Std. 1725™ – 2006, Standard for Rechargeable Batteries for Cellular Telephones using the CTIA Certification Requirements Document.
As a Battery Compliance Review Organization (BCRO), Exponent conducts a detailed review of supporting evidence from cellular product. Based on received information, Exponent will verify whether the system complies with all applicable requirements of the CTIA Certification Requirements Document.
As a CATL, Exponent conducts auditing, testing and a detailed review of supporting evidence from cellular product manufacturers for compliance.
